Windows 10: Hard drive reverted to previous partitions and wiped. please help with recovering lost data..

My PCs PSU died, and when I replaced it, a hard drive that I was using as my backup in a dock has reverted to a previous 2 partition format, wiping decades of photos and videos, and 5 years of 3d rendering. I cant afford to lose that all.I've done a 3rd party app recovery search and it's only finding what was on the 2 partitions before I went to use it as a backup, and not what was on the drive after I formatted it from that back to 1 drive. Please help, I cant afford to lose all those photos...has anyone had this happen before and have a solution?

I think you should mention that which file system you used. As per of my experience I suggest you Remo Recover utility to recover data from old hard drive. I think it will be helpful for you.

Connect your hard drive as an external drive to another system and then utilize recovery application for recovering data from lost partition (Note: do not install the tool or any data in your hard drive as it may overwrite the data from lost partition). Thanks for your reply. I used my m8s program and it worked like a dream, recovered all the files and also deleted ones from yrs back, was amazed how well it did. Next step is i will use that Partition Table Doctor to recover the deleted partition. Thanks for the link *Toast :toast:
