    Hard drive space issue after re-install attempt


    Hi, N.w to this forum, recently purchased a second HP Pavillion dv6 which had been converted o Windows 10 Pro. this being on a 120GB hard drive,had 4gig memory, I have now installed a new 500GB hard drive which I have cloned this operating system from the old 120GB hard drive onto it but now find this 500GB now only show up as 92.24GB, I have attempted to format the later 372.61 unallocated space but am unable to do so, has anyone any idea as to how I can achieve this. I have made a `back-up` of the Windows 10 operating system on a 32GB flash drive, I first tried to `copy` the original operating system using a usb caddy but this failed . Thanks Dave

    There are different factors that can contribute as to why you're not able to extend the storage space of your current drive using the free space on your hard drive. This could be caused by the settings used to create the unallocated space or the settings
    used in extending the current drive. For us to resolve your concern, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Were there any error messages when you attempted to extend the storage space of your hard drive?
    • Were there any recent changes made or updates installed prior to the issue occurring?
    • Which version and build of Windows 10 do you have installed?

    Windows 10 BLANK SCREEN w/cursor after UPDATE

    Im unable to access any settings apps or the start menu. I attempted to restore my HP pavillion desktop with my external hard drive. My HP has 8GB ram and 1 TB hard drive.

    After this final atttempt my desktop only accepted the backup info from my IBM Leveno laptop. The confusing issue here is that my desktop thinks its my laptop. There is now only 2GB ram and 250 GB hard drive. I have over 700GB of hard drive space unaccessable.

    How can the OS of a completley different computer be installed on anothet system but not on the correct device.
