Windows 10: Hard drive space required to update from Win 10 to 11, can I specify which of 2 internal...

I have been postponing "upgrading" to Win 11 from 10 for a list of reasons. Today, before I set a further postponement on the installation Microsoft has been trying to FORCE on me I can't allow ANY updates to my system or Win11 upgrade will install itself our system gave a message saying our C: drive didn't have sufficient space for Win 11 upgrade. There's 9 GB free on the first internal hard drive but we have a second internal hard drive I usually pick for installing any new software and that drive has 930 GB free space on it.1. Am I restricted to ONLY the drive on which Win 10 is presently

How to use an external hard drive to complete WIndows 10 update? Not enough space on internal hard drive.

During Windows 10 update I receive a notification there is not enough space on my internal hard drive. 8GB needed, find more space. There is no more space on my drive. I attach an external hard drive, but the installer doesn't recognize the space on the
external drive.

I have an internal hard drive, that I installed over a year ago. It is no longer listed in "This Computer. " It is only a year or 2 old. before I replace it is there a way to look for it in file management. Maybe a windows update changed a setting?
