  1. Hard drive transfer rate slow-help

Sorry for my language ı am not native,Hi, I have a 1TB Internal Hard Drive of Toshiba brand it have 5400rpm in past it transfer rate used to go 60 to 80 m/b continuously, but now it start from 60 to 80 m/b for only one second and degrade to 10 to 30 m/b. When I got this problem I scanned my hard drive it didn't have any bad sector. Even I booted my pc with bootable pendrive and checked it had same problem. I have also optimized my drive, scanned virus, booted in legacy and now at uefi. But When I check my drive performance in crystal disk it show me more than 70 m/b and less than 110 m/b.Is

Slow internal hard drive transfer rates

    Hi,

Please be informed that data transfer rates from hard drive to a computer or to other hard drive depends on several factors like size for data that being transferred; other tasks running in the background; RAM etc. You may install all pending Windows updates.
Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Also follow the steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter
    on the computer:

    • Type “Control Panel” on the search box.
    • Click on Troubleshooting.
    • Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.
    • Click on System Maintenance option.
    • Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.
Do let us know the performance of the computer. Thank you.

Slow internal hard drive transfer rates

    Hi

I'm getting very slow hard drive transfer speeds. Both drives are SATA:

    Seagate Barracude Green 2TB 6Gb/s 5900RPM ST2000DL003

    HGST 4TB 6Gb/s 7200RPM HDN724040ALE640

I'm transferring from the Seagate to the HGST. I'm copying over some video tutorial courses, they're quite big ~ 14Gb each. Each course has a number of videos averaging about 80-150Mb per video. I'm getting
    tranfer speeds of about 8-9MB/s.

I've ran CrystalDiskMark on both drives and they're reported as what I expect. I've attached screen shots of the results. The read/write for the Seagate is 124/120, for HGST is 150/149 respectively.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 5 and I have 32Gb of GSkill DDR4 ram. I'm new to this motherboard so may be there's a setting which would help?

As far as I know I think the chipset drivers are up to date.

I'm at a lost why the transfer rate would be so slow. Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

Copy Files from Hard Drive to SD Card - Painfully Slow Transfer

I am in the process of transferring files from my laptop's hard drive to a 256 GB SD card in the laptop's card reader slot. The transfer started quickly but then it slowed down drastically and has stayed down since. I've looked at some similar posts and tried a few of the fixes that worked for others but none of them have worked for me and I'm still transferring at an incredibly slow pace.

I should note that I'm transferring music files from my computer to the SD card. I have about 50 GB that I would like to put on the card but it would take me a week at the rate it's going now.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    THANKS!
