hi,my laptop hard drive was damaged and has to replace with ssd. now I lost my windows 10 product key. how can I get my product key again? Please need help.

Replacing windows 10 home hard disk with SSD

Hi! I have an HP Envy x360 m6-aq105dx convertible laptop that I bought from Best Buy. I'd like to replace the slow hard disk with an SSD, but I don't have the Windows 10 Product key to create an installable USB flash drive. It looks like there may be some
non-trivial ways to recover a product ID from the BIOS, but I was wondering if it would be easier to create a Recovery disk on a USB flash drive and install from it after I replace the hard disk with the SSD. Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

 

Replacing Hard drive - Windows 10 (upgraded) Product Key

My laptop is Vaio SVF13N12CGS. The laptop's hard drive is a mSATA SSD drive (128 GB) and I want to replace it with a mSATA SSD (500 GB). I don't have mSATA adapter (connector) to directly clone my current Windows to the new hard drive. Then it seems that
I should clone it on a usb (my laptop doesn't have in-dash DVD), make a boot usb, replace the hard, turn the laptop on by means of boot usb, and recover my Windows. Am I right? If yes, how should I make the boot usb and recover my Windows when I don't have
my Windows' Product Key?

 

Replacing a laptop hard drive with a SSD

I have a Dell Latitude E5420 laptop which has a Windows 10 Pro O/S. I would appreciate a step by step guide on the procedure to replace the hard drive with a Solid State drive; specifically dealing with the transfer of all the software from the old drive to the new. I have an external hard drive I use for backups and a free version of the Macrium Reflect program on the hard drive. The SSD is brand new. I have just 50 GB in total on the 231 GB hard drive. The SSD has 250 GB capacity.
