Hard drive will no longer display in file explorer

I turn on my windows 10 laptop this morning to install a game. I am about to install it to my hard drive but i come to find out that it is no longer there. I have a look and its still plugged in as always. I can safely remove it from the icon thing in the bottom right corner of the screen but it wont allow mw to view anything on it nor add things to it. I've tried plugging it into the other USB ports and nothing. I've used a standard USB flash drive and it works like it always has, I plugged my hard drive into my Xbox one s and it works perfectly. Can Someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix

    :)

Physical Drives no longer displayed with Windows/File Explorer

All of a sudden File Explorer/Windows Explorer is no longer displaying my internal Hard Drive or DVD. It shows One Drive(which I dont use) My user files, libraries, network, control panel and it looks like recent folders. Prior to this I could see "c" drive
and the DVD drive. Any ideas as to the issue?

    External Hard Drive

    Hi John,

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
    • Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.
The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

Let us know if you need further help.
