Windows 10: Hard reset Recovery screen not showing on external monitor.

I'm trying to factory reset a HP stream 14' laptop because I forgot the password. The screen is broken but the computer still works through an external monitor. The issue is the Recovery screen won't load on my external monitor. The windows will load fine normally, but when performing a factory reset by restarting the computer and pressing F11 the recovery screen doesn't load on the external monitor Roku tv. Seems as if the monitor don't recognize the recovery part. Any help?

External Hard Drive

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• What is the make and model of your computer and external monitor?
• Have you installed all pending Windows and driver updates?
• Do you get any error message?

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates in your PC and also update Display drivers. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: I would suggest you to check and install any latest Windows Updates available.

• Go to Start and then Settings.
• Click on Update and Recovery.
• Check for updates under
  Windows Updates.
• Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...
