Windows 10: Hardrive / boot problems

I belive my hardrive became faulty and now I cant get pass the boot stage and if I do I cant make it pass signing in as it states my pin and passwords are incorrect despite thats not the case. I plan to get a ssd to replace the hardrive but is there anyway I can transfer everything over to ssd including windows and all my data without being able to login to windows?


Here is what happens when I try boot:

1. Upon turning on the pc everything is fine until the windows logo pops up followed by the disk check press any key to skip.

2. If I dont skip and the let the it check over the disk once completed the screen goes black and pc restarts stuck in a loop. / If I skip the the disk check its a 50/50 it will either give me a blue screen of death with the error critical process ended or something on those lines. OR it will boot to the sign in screen asking for a pin, upon entering the PIN I recieve a error if I try sign in with password its incorrect.


I can bypass the loop by going into the windows safe area the blue screen where you can troubleshoot ect I've tried many options such as booting into safe mode trying command prompt to get pass boot loop but all doesn't work. I've also tried the reset the pc whilst keeping files however this did not work either as I receive and error after a few hours of it trying to do so.


So the main thing I want to know is if the system image recovery tool can transfer the hardrive data on to a new ssd which will be set as the new boot device?

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.
