Windows 10: Hardware Change, Can't reactivate Win 10 using Troubleshooter

I replaced pretty much everything in PC motherboard, gpu, psu, cpu excluding the SSDs and HDDs. Windows is not telling me I need to reactivate my copy of Windows 10. I run the troubleshooter, tell it that I've changed my hardware and select the PC that I'm using to reactivate. I then get an error saying that it can't reactivate my Windows since the digital license for the device was already used to reactivate windows I've made hardware changes in the past.


I'd prefer to not have to pay for another copy of Windows 10 since I've been using this PC with Win 10 without any issues for a long time. The Support Bot told me to run SLUI 04, which does nothing and SLUI.exe and SLUI 03 simply runs the activation wizard which brings me back to square one. I thought my Product Key was shown in This PC -> Properties -> Product ID, but when I try typing that into the SLUI, it tells me that portions of the Product ID aren't found in Product Keys mainly the number "0".


Is there any way I can reactivate my copy of windows without buying a new one?

Reactivating Windows 10 after Hardware Change

Greetings everybody,

I changed the hardware (motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM) of my PC and I cannot reactivate my WIN 10 now.

I had WIN 7 retail version before and I upgraded it during the free upgrade to WIN 10 years ago. Before I changed my hardware, I linked my WIndows licence to my windows account so I could reactivate it after the change, but it does not work.

In the activation page in the settings, it shows the error code 0xC004F211, which shows that the hardware has changed. I followed the instructions of Reactivating Windows 10 after a hardware change,
so I did the troubleshooting and then selected "I changed hardware on this device recently" and then selected the device I am using and click on activate, but this does not work. I only get the "We can’t reactivate Windows
on this device. Try again later. " message.

Any suggestions what I can do to activate my licence?

I just changed motherboards, and When I follow the the steps listed in the "reactivate windows 10 after hardware change" support page, it gives me the message "unable to activate windows" message after I sign in and identify my device,
with no error code, just a subheader that says "can't activate windows 10 on this device, try again later."
