Windows 10: Hardware reserved ram 8gb of 16 taken

Hello everyone, i’d greatly appreciate it if anyone was able to help. Currently, 8gb of my 16gb of ram is hardware reserved I have physically checked the ram and ran msconfig. I think that From my limited knowledge, at this point it is time for me to change the frame buffer size in the bios. I have the asus p7p55d5 motherboard which has American mega trends bios. Any suggestions?

RAM shows 4GB hardware reserved insted of 8GB

Still no reply. Having the same issue. 8gb installed windows hardware reserved 4gb so I only have 4gb that i can use. installed 16gb or ram. windows has now hardware reserved 8gb of ram. Regardless of slots used. 3 different types of memory in as many
configurations as possible. all returning the same result. What the **** is going on. this has randomly happened on a healthy working install of windows 10. Have since done a fresh install with the same thing still happening....

2.3 GiB of hardware reserved memory out of 8 GiB is usually a hardware issue where the RAM sticks are not properly connected to the motherboard, and the system will report the unconnected chips as reserved. Since they are not used, memory diagnostics do not look at that part.

Since it is a new computer, I suggest you to contact Acer for a replacement. If a replacement is impossible, I suggest you to bring your laptop to your local repair shop to remove and reinstall the RAM sticks.

RAM shows 4GB hardware reserved insted of 8GB

sir,

i have installed windows 10 pro in my system, i have 8gb of ram installed into my motherboard,but when i check the properties it shows only 3.90 gb usable. when i check with the task manager, it says that 4 gb is hardware reserved. what is it mean. how
can i use my 8 gb of ram fully.pls help.
