Windows 10: Has any tried Mirroring Windows Laptop to LG TV

My tv is not able to connect and I have followed these steps in this link, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt seems this is windows issue.Any help troubleshoot will be really helpful.

I am trying to mirror my Acer laptop to an LG TV through HDMI cable; I am able to see the laptops' desktop on the display but when opening a program it only shows on the laptop display. The program icon in the taskbar is highlighted underneath (on TV) but
it will not open.

I am trying to show content on a TV where there is no internet, only cable services.

Hi,

I understand you are unable to connect your Windows 10 computer to a TV using a HDMI cable.
I suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

• Open the "display settings" in your computer and activate output to the TV screen. You can either mirror content of your computer on the TV or extend the display just like a dual monitor screen.
• Pick up your TV remote and switch to "External Inputs" from the menu. You will need to change the default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "Video 2" depending on how you have made the connection.

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer as sometimes it may fail to recognize external display.

You may also need to change the screen resolution of your TV using the Display settings in your Control Panel else the picture may appear distorted.
