Hello, I want to share my ongoing 20-year saga with everyone. I have been seeing an increased number of individuals reporting the same problems that I have been struggling with for years and sadly I am seeing them treated like I have been treated. Let me start with letting you know that I am perfectly sane even though you will likely be challenged to believe that at points along the way. All I am asking from anyone reading this is that you try to keep an open mind and before you dismiss me, ask yourself, "Is what he has said possible? System Interrupts - Problem or Symptom?

After significant encouragement I posted my system specs weeks ago. And while I appreciate all the feedback and intimations that the problem is 'driver related', none of that gets me any closer to a resolution.

This is a Toshiba Satellite L755-S5153. It originally ran Windows 7 Home Premium but was upgraded to Windows 10 years ago where it seemed to operate flawlessly until a few months ago.

When I go to the Toshiba drivers page and enter my serial number I'm prompted to select an Operating System from a pull down box. Windows 10 is not listed. So telling me that the issue can be solved by the installation of the correct drivers from the manufacturer is only helpful if I know what drivers to install.

 

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

 

After updates Windows 10 says "Missing operating system"

I have the same issue, and I followed your suggestion steps. After that, I can see C: drive, and Windows folder is there.

Then I rebooted the computer. But I still have the missing the operation system issue. Any suggestions?
