  1. Has anyone else had browsers running really slowly since the 2024-11 Cumulative Updates to...

Since the middle of the week our browsers Edge and Firefox have gone noticeably, even ridiculously, slow, on both our computers. Internet speeds are high at 36 Mb download, and other kit in the house phones, TV is unaffected, so it does not look like a line or router issue, which leaves the computers themselves. I wonder if it could be connected with the Cumulative Update to Windows 11 which took place at the time.I have cleared caches and updated browsers, and checked/refreshed various settings eg WWAN/WLAN, resetting and recalibrating internet connection and settings, result slightly bet

  2. Cumulative updates for Windows - May 2024

We have multiple Windows 10 22H2 workstations that do not detect 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768). If you run the Windows update list in powershell or click "Check for updates" we see the following:

    KB5037771 134GB Windows 11, version 23H2

The KB listed appears to be related to the 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11. Why is this appearing on a Windows 10 machine and why won't the Windows 10 machine detect 2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5037768)? We have attempted the Windows Update reset script on affected already without resolution to this issue.

  3. JAlexG Win User
Unable to install 2024-01 Cumulative Updates for Windows 11

I've tried the Windows Troubleshooter, and I disabled Malwarebytes (I primarily use Windows Defender, so I didn't need it running as well), and I've tried restarting a couple times.

But the following two updates refuse to install, and I keep receiving error code 0x80070020 for:

    • 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)
    • 2024-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5033920)

What do I need to do, to get these updates to install?

    I'm running Windows 11 Home (version 22H2).

Not sure if it's extraneous info but my processor is a 12th Gen Intel i7, with 32GB of RAM.

    Many thanks,

Had problems with not opening taskbar icons, has anyone else had this issue?: I feel like the starting menu does not suit. When I had these issues, it was the transition from 1909 to the 2004/20h2 upgrade. When I disabled the Cortana in the Reg Editor, the issue went away.
