Windows 10: Has anyone else's computer crashed after trying to edit a screenshot?

My computer crashed 5 times this past week (two of them in one day) and 3 of those crashes started the exact same way. After going into the screenshots folder in file explorer, I'll click on the button to crop the screenshot and just get a black window that I can't close out of. I end up having to close the window through my taskbar, but after I close it, my computer crashes every time without fail. To test this, after my most recent crash, I waited a while before I closed the window, and nothing happened. But seconds after I closed the window, my computer crashed.

Anyone else have no sound after installing Windows 10 build 10240?

Do you get sound with basic windows drivers?

I suggest you try the following steps:

Follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Right on the start icon and click on device manager
  
• 
  Expand Sound video and Gaming , Select the Audio adapter, right click on un-install.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Passwords Plus - "Application has stopped working"

I have been using this application, Passwords Plus, for a long time - since XP and Palm.

It worked well with Win10 until last week, when I started getting the message above ("Application has stopped working").

I have gone to the company's website, DataViz, and their solutions have not worked.

When this first happened, I checked their website for solutions. They acknowledge this as a common error. Solutions tried are:

• They suggested right clicking the program icon and running as an administrator
  
• editing permissions on the Security tab for the "Documents" folder, to allow all permissions.
  
• Next they sent a reg file, asking that this be added to the registry
  
• then they asked me to re-install the program.
  

None of this has made any difference - the program still crashes on opening.

Questions:

• Has anyone else encountered & solved this error?
  
• Any suggestions for things to try?
