Windows 10: Has Anyone Found a Solution The Reverse Brightness Issue on Windows 10

hi, I recently clean installed windows 10 and I now have a problem that the brightness sometimes works in reverse...eg when i plug the charger in the brightness will go to 100% as it should but the screen will go dark as if its on 0% brightness..what i have to do is lower the brightness to 0% in order to get 100% brightness..just doesnt make sense...i have tried any solutions i have found on this forum but none have worked...i have updated windows, scanned for hardware changes, updated the graphics driver in device manager and uninstalled it and reinstalled...nothing has worked and its getting very frustrating...can anyone help...thanks for any replies

Trying different things on my computer I have found the problem. Somehow the switch and the settings for the screen brightness has been reversed. In my setting I had the brightness set to 100% on the plugin mode it has been reversed 100% has made it
dark. At the same setting I had the screen set to 75% for the battery mode that's why it worked on the battery. The f2 and the f3 keys for brightness have been reversed to. they are opposite now. All my drivers are up to date.

 

Windows 10 brightness

After upgrading to Windows 10 I have an issue with the brightness. When I press to turn the brightness up, It dims the display. But when I press to turn the brightness down, it makes the display brighter.

Does anyone know why this is reversed?

I have uninstalled my graphics driver and reinstalled and updated several times. This issue is honestly getting annoying.
