Windows 10: Has there ever been a solid response to the issue of a child's account showing as pending...

I have read through every one of the "responses" and the best response I saw, outside of the person with the xbox account edit, was to email support. Is this still the best course of action to try and get this resolved. I have spent more time logging into my Microsoft account over the last 2 days than I care to admit. Quite frustrating. Child account pending issue.

I follow the steps you show, but the child account still keep pending n matter how many time he accept my invitation and log-in to this labtop.

What next can I do to solve the problem of child-account pending forever? It pass 2 days already to try.

Child account pending issue.

Very frustrating as I have two computers in the family and have set the child up in Microsoft family on both. One it has accepted the other is pending too which means I cannot manage the internet activity of one on the computer where the account is still
pending, with third party software because the software cannot see the account whereas on the computer that has accepted it I can. Very annoying - come on Microsoft don't just go quiet get it sorted please

Hi All,

I cannot seem to control my child's account screen time, and the adults account does not display websites the child has visited.

I think the essence of the problem is that, in the adult local windows settings says pending.

There's two places i'm looking at to manage these settings in both the adult and child account.

1) Online, logged in to the respective child or adult Microsoft account

2) Offline/local settings, via the start/settings/family and other users



logging into both child and adult Microsoft account all looks tickety boo, and I even got the weekly report emailed to my adult email.



Both accounts family settings are pointing to the correct child/adult.



However:



a) Windows Offline/local settings in the adult account, still say CHILD PENDING, even though the child has accepted the invitation to join the family, emails have bounced back an forth, in
both adult and child email accounts saying invited/accepted/joined......



b) When logged into the adult online Microsoft account, I cannot see any search content, app usage, etc, even though i've been into the child account and used apps and used the internet.



c) in the child account, I don't seem to be able to use google, via microsoft IE, even though i've set it to allow via: https://account.microsoft.com/family#/settings/web-browsing



It just doesn't make sense, the discrepancy between online and local settings. I'm thinking buggy software!

I'm so frustrated, whatever I do it is still PENDING!
