  3. UHD Resolution for external monitor.....(2560 x 1440)

I have a Samsung Laptop (550P7C) the in-built Graphics Card (Intel HD Graphics 4000: Driver version, 10.18.10.5059) will not "offer" me higher resolution than 1920 x 1080.

    The laptop is capable of supporting 3840 x 2160 (I require: 2560 x 1440)

I have been told by Samsung that this is a "Default Setting" and cannot me upgraded...

I have just purchased a ViewSonic 32" UHD Monitor, (I am a Graphic Designer) specifically for my work, and wonder if your software will operate on my laptop, bearing in mind the default firmware is set as
    1920 x 1080.....?

    Please advise. Phil

  4. have 2 monitors both 2560 x 1440

    UHD Resolution for external monitor.....(2560 x 1440)

    1) Both methods have been used (neither offers a drop down in the Intel SET UP box)

    2) Laptop has latest Windows updates (Windows 10 installed)

    3) 59/60 Mhz

    4) ViewSonic: VX3211-2K-MHD (it has a QHD screen 2560 x 1440 Res.)

ALL Drivers are up to date.

It seems that the problem lies with the Firmware....

I look forward to your reply......Phil
