  1. Have a 619 GB WPR_initiated_WprApp_WPR System Collector.etl file,

Yesterday it seems like, I have ended up with a 619 GB system collection file, I ran a full system scan using Avast and suddenly ran out of free space on my HD, here's a screen shot, I wonder if I could delete it or if it's an Avast problem, or if it's because I disconnected from the internet when I ran the scan.

    :)

ETL Collector svc, What is it?

    Hi,

We'd like you to confirm a few things for us to assist you better:

    - By any chance, are you referring to ETW Collector Service instead of ETL?

    - Could you provide us with a screenshot of the service and the file extension?

    - Have you made any recent changes that initiated this service to appear in your system?

Unless we can verify if it's ETL or ETW you're referring to, we will be inclined to think that this may be a third party application.

    Regards.

  3. ETL Collector svc, What is it?

Etl collector service does exactly what it sounds like. Ir runs (and needs to) to collect various log files from various sources and stores them where they need to go. Most ETL log files are stored in C:\windows\logs and these are some of the sources.
There is a decent 3rd party site called blackviper.com that will tell you what services can safely be turned off (or removed)

ETL Collector svc, What is it?

WHAT is the ETL collector svc function.? IS it vital or necessary for W-10/64 function? W-10 is such a resource hog, I need to reduce the totally useless and unneccy drains on resources. Bad enough I never authorized W-10 to invade my rig, while I was
away. Has been constant PIA and usurped control in many functions. Can't change owners or access in several cases. Albeit, I am owner and admin of this rig.
