Windows 10: Have a HP Envy 600 Win 10-computer, about 10 years of age. Suddenly the sound gets very weak

I have a desktop-computer HP Envy 600 about 8 years of age i7-processor, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD etc. running Windows 10 with the latest update. Suddenly the sound signal from the computer got very weak. With volume at maximum, I can still hear a weak sound from the connected sound-system. If I direct the sound to play on another unit TV for instance it sounds good with normal volume. For me it looks like the computers output amplifier does not work properly or a sound firmware is missing!? The odd thing is that some time the sound comes back with full strength without me having done anything.

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

 

Windows 10 the sound is dramatically lower HP Envy.

Hi - I have the same question thousands of other people have regarding sound on my computer. I have an HP Envy and when I upgraded to Windows 10 the sound is dramatically lower. I have tried to update my sound driver but it says it is up to date. I have
tried rolling back but it doesn't give me the option. I am having to use earphones and I hate it. Can you please help me? Thanks - Mike
