Windows 10: have been having this problem with 100% disk usage

Ok, so i also have been having this problem with 100% disk usage and its been extremely aggravating as absolutely nothing fixes it....

I start up the computer and logon and immediately it shows 100% usage:






After maybe 4-10 minutes or so it dies down:




Then it will spike back to 100% whenever i open ANYTHING, it stays at 100% for maybe 20-40 seconds after the window pops up:






I suspect the culprit to be System and Compressed memory but haven't found any fixes that I haven't tried yet online.

Windows 10 100% disk usage! , system and compressed memory

Hey , I have been getting 100% disk usage in windows 10 , and the system and compressed memory is taking 100%

I tried disabling superfetch , windows search , windows update, show my tips about windows and more stuff

but I still have 100% disk usage , I updated steam to see if it was the problem , my disk usage went to 2-1% but after a while it became 100% , and it's not a virus , I tried running windows defender and Malwarebytes and there is no viruses , should I replace
the hdd ? or is it fixable ? , I tried windows 8,8.1,10 restore feature but after 36% it failed. I have a i3 2310M 2.10 ghz processor and 4GB RAM and the hdd I have is wdc wd3200bpvt-75zest0.

 

Hi, unfortunately your screenshots don't expand so I can't see them.

Question is, what triggers System and compressed memory to use excessive resources, if that's what's happening.

There are several threads relating to this on the forum - just search for
"System and compressed memory"

Causes are various, the most recent being Chrome using VRAM when accessing multiple pages esp. Facebook.
