  2. Intel Core i7-4770K - healthy core speed

    Have Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20 GHz ZCRti.png

Is my i7-4770K running at higher core speed than it should? The core speed is usually around 3.9 GHz according to CPU-Z. I expected it to stay close to the processor's base frequency (3.5 GHz) and not always at max turbo frequency (3.9 GHz).

I haven't overclocked. Windows 10 power plan is set to high performance.

Intel - Core i7-9700K motherboard compatibility

Hi all, looking to upgrade my build to an Intel - Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor but basically every motherboard I plop into pcpartpicker seems to give me this error

    • Some Intel B360/H310/Z370 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Not really sure what to do or what motherboard to choose. I don't really want to spend a lot of money or do anything fancy, just something that works with my CPU is all I need. Even when I pick motherboards that pcpartpicker says are compatible, I get this message. I'm scared of buying the wrong one and destroying my parts lol. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

intel core i7 and AMD drivers?

my intel i7 should have drivers that are intel. correct?

    a crash dump states

    a m d 6 4 f r e . r s 3 _ r e l e a s e . 1 7 0 9 2 8 - 1 5 3 4
    d b g c o r
    e . a m d 6 4 , 1 0 . 0 . 1 6 2 9 9 . 1 5

so I looked in device manager

pci bus states AMD and the processor states intel core i7 cpu

how do I get the pci bus to intel? or is this normal ??

driver deletion and update goes AMD
