Windows 10: Have old Microsoft account that Go Daddy set up. I'm no longer with Go Daddy and business...

I need Windows 365 Office removed from my computer. IIt was set up by GO Daddy whom I no longer use. Have no active business or business e-mail. We have 365 Office home service through my wife's account.

Signing into windows - go daddy microsoft account not recognised

I recently purchased a domain name, email address and business professional package (includes Microsoft office apps and I can log into Microsoft 365) from godaddy.com

I bought a new laptop and when I tried to set up my new laptop with my new email address, I get the message 'Looks like this isn't a Microsoft account. Try another email or sign up for a new one'

It definitely IS a Microsoft account because I can use all of the apps and log in to Microsoft 365.

I have contacted three different people at go daddy support who are unable to help.

In the end I had to set up my new laptop in my personal email account. My old laptop will now be used by my first member of staff. I thought I would set up a new user on my old laptop in the new business email address and give access to business email and only my business files on that user. Again, I am unable to create the user and get the same error message. Go daddy suggested clearing my cookies and cache etc which I have done. I am not convinced they understand my issue.

I tried to go onto microsoft support, but lo and behold, it re-directs me to the go daddy website automatically as it recognised I have the product through them.

Please help!

 

Locked out from windows with Go Daddy Microsoft account

That copy of Microsoft 365 is connected to your Go-Daddy account. It's not connected to your Microsoft account. You can't migrate Microsoft 365 from your Go-Daddy account to your Microsoft account.

 

Go daddy migration

I am migrating email accounts from Go Daddy to Microsoft 365.

I was told to back up the email accounts to pst. files and then delete the Go Daddy essentials plan. Then re-import the email files.

After backing up the files and deleting the essentials plan, the email account used to login to microsoft live is effectively non functional and I cannot get in. Not sure what to do now.
