    Have to double-click everything revisited

I've had Windows 10 for quite a while. Turns out it was the 32-bit version.
Loved having to only single-click to open folders.

Recently "upgraded" to the 64-bit version.

    Lost single-clicking ability.

There was a thread a few years ago about this phenomenon, but it seemed unresolved.

If you are facing issue with File Explorer, then you may change the settings for File Explorer Options to change click items. Follow the steps to change the settings.

    a. Press Windows + X keys and click on Control Panel.

    b. Change the View By settings for Control Panel to Large icons.

    c. Click on File Explorer Options to change the settings.

    d. In General tab, under Click Items as follows select "Double to open an item Single click to select" or "Single click to open an item".

    e. Click Apply and Ok to save changes.

When I press Windows + X keys, Control Panel is not an option.

Settings has nothing about Control Panel or Large icons.
File Explorer>View allows me to make icons large, but only in that window.
I haven't seen a General tab anywhere in my search.

I would expect "Double to open an item Single click to select" or "Single click to open an item" to be somewhere like Settings>Devices>Mouse.

How do I resolve this issue?

    :)

    Single-click or double-click?

As the title says, do you single-click or double-click on your shortcuts to open your apps?

I'm a fan of single-click, the only downside is that often when I click on a message in de list of my mails in Outlook it can open the mail in a window...
Not always but besides that, single-click works best for me.
