    For some reason, in the last couple months I am asked to "sign in" to my Microsoft account, My one drive, my Quicken and over apps when I never had to before. Also, on some websites which I have asked for my computer to be recognized, every time I log in, it does not recognize it. How do I fix this?

  2. Asked to reenter password

    Hello,

    Recently I received a notification after signing in to my computer that asks me to reenter my password to verify it. It never did that before and it just started doing that now.

    The notification reads "You need to fix your Microsoft account for apps on your other devices to be able to launch apps and continue experiences on this device." Clicking the notification opens the settings app which then opens another window that reads
    "Please reenter your password. We need to verify the password for your Microsoft account." And shows my email plus a text box to put in my password.

    I don't trust it because I don't know if it's really Microsoft or something else. I ran every kind of antivirus I have on my PC but all of them say my PC is clean but I still don't trust it.

    I wish I could upload a picture of the notification but the site won't accept the file type from my phone.

    Is this legitimate or something my antivirus failed to detect?

  3. Can't type into box for reentering password

    It says that because I am accessing sensitive information...Please reenter your password.

    Mouse and keyboard are working fine. BUT for Windows Store, I Can't type into the box for reentering my password!

    Tried to MANAGE or FIX my account BUT this process will also not allow me to enter my password in the BOX.

    Any ideas???

    Hi HearaldPenkert,

    I suggest trying with this steps:

    • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

      (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)
    • Enter sign, and then tap or click Change sign-in options.
    • Choose the sign-in option you'd like to use, and then follow the instructions.

    If you're using a local account with a password, you can delete the password to sign in without one. Try this steps:

    • Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

      (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click Search.)
    • Enter sign, and then tap or click Sign-in options.
    • Under Password, tap or click Change.
    • Verify the current password for your local account.
    • Leave the New password, Reenter password, and Password hint fields blank, tap or click Next, and then tap or click Finish.
    I hope it will solve your issue.
