    Have to sign in to MS account every restart after password change - Win10


    Hi,I am using Windows 10 linked to my MS account, everything was working fine until I decided to change my password. After changing my password after every restart I am signed out of every application linked to my MS account like the Xbox app and I get the "Microsoft account problem" notification.After putting my password everything works fine but it is annoying having to log in every time. Any one know how to fix this so that a restart does not sign me out?

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Try disconnecting the cable from the Internet:
      • If there is a Wi-Fi icon on the sign-in screen, click it and go to Airplane mode.
      • If there is a wired connection, disconnect the wire.
      • If sign-in is successful, let us know in the comments!
      • Also, we can then change to a local account, restart, and re-connect to the MSA.
      • If this works, please let us know!
    2. Try sign-in on another device (phone or PC) via the
    https://account.microsoft.com
    page.

    • If the sign-in is unsuccessful, stop and handle it like any other password issue.
    • If sign-in is successful there, don’t try resetting/changing the password, continue to the next step.
    3. Try using the On-Screen Keyboard to sign in on the PC.

    4. If that fails, make sure the PC is connected to the Internet (the connection icon should be visible in the lower right).

    Changing sign-in password clue

    Hello, Andy.

    It is completely possible to change your password hint on Windows 10 without going through all the “rigmarole *chuckle” of changing the password. Just do this:

    Step 1- On the search bar, type “Settings” then locate and click on “Accounts”.
    Step 2- On the left navigation pane, locate and click on “Sign- In Options”, then click on “Password”.
    Step 3- Type your current password/new password and the hint that you want to provide under “Password Hint”.
