Windows 10: Having a bit of trouble with BitLocker

Yesterday, I opened up my laptop to see a bluescreen prompt for my bitlocker key, I tought it was an error or something bc I didn't do anything with my drive or installed any stuff so I just forced shut down and went back to sleep (I was very groggy when this happened).

When I woke up I turned on my computer and it booted normally (or so I thought) but with no internet. After some googling I found that this is apparently Bitlocker Recovery Mode but I can't get the prompt to enter my Bitlocker Key again, and even if I did I'd have to look for it.

Right now I can't use anything on the internet but I can open some programs. Today, my new SSD arrived (I had already planned upgrading) and my plan was to get an enclosure later to have my old drive as an external SSD. However, I now worry that I won't be able to access or format it afterwards because of this Bitlocker thing. Does anyone know what would happen?

I was planning on using another drive to backup my files and then just go ahead and change it

Need to turn off Bitlocker to install Windows 10

Hi,

We suggest doing the following steps again to resolve the issue. To complete the procedure, make sure that you have the following information:

• You must be able to provide administrative credentials.
• The drive must be BitLocker-protected.

To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive, please follow the steps below:

• Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
• A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption.
  
• Click Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.

Having trouble with port forwarding..

I am currently a bit occupied and can't focus 100%.

Give me some time to write a full check list for you. That manual helps a lot in doing all this.

I will return once I've written everything in a clear and step by step tutorial. I also have D2, so I will test it on my system, which also takes time.
