Windows 10: Having issue downloading library ebooks using Overdrive - doesn't appear in Downloads folder

Recently I had to have my laptop wiped after a hack. The repair people reinstalled Windows 10 and today I tried to download a library ebook via Amazon to my Kindle. I generally transfer it to my Kindle via USB. It's in my Amazon account, but each time I download the title, nothing appears in the Downloads folder like it used to. Not sure if I'm missing some software or if there's some other issue.

Cannot download overdrive files on Windows 10

I had successfully used Overdrive on Windows 8 PC, was able to add ebook titles from my library, download them, transfer etc.

Since we updated to Windows 10, I can no longer download the ebook file. I can still ADD them to the bookshelf, but can't do anything with it ! The error states that Windows is unable to create the local folder needed in the documents folder itself...

I assumed I needed to update the Media usage rights acquisition. So I clicked on it, and nothing happens. The window opens as though the file is going to "play" but it just sits there. I have internet access- that is not the issue.
The Overdrive app itself, does not
need updating.

The Overdrive site customer support section, directs you to contact your local library for support of their app. So, I contacted my library for assistance, which was a total joke. No one there even knew how to USE the app at all, even if it was working
properly.

Am I missing something ? Should I just uninstall the Overdrive app and reinstall? Do I need to go to the Documents folder itself and some how allow permission for folders to be made? If so, how?

Based on your information, please be informed that you cannot burn ebook through Windows media player. However, to burn ebook you can try the below steps.

• 
  Insert the disc to the system and go to the downloaded ebook folder location.
  
• 
  Click on the file you wanted to burn and click on Share on the top of the right pane.
  
• And click in Burn to Disc.

Can't download the Overdrive fix

New to the forums. I tried searching but I can't get much back on downloading the AMD Overdrive fix for the 7-series. Everytime I go to the page to download from Mirror 1 it says Page Cannot be displayed. I am trying to get Overdrive to work, but I keep getting the "No AMD 7-Series CPU Detected" error. Any help getting that engine.zip file would be appreciated. Like I said, mirror 1 isn't working for me, and is the only mirrior it lists to download from.
