Windows 10: Having issue with mute/unmute of laptop

    Having issue with mute/unmute of laptop


    After a reboot, I can click on the speaker in the system tray and successfully mute/unmute my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop running Windows 11 up-to-date. After a day or two, clicking on the speaker in the system tray has NO affect on the mute/unmute status. At this point, I can right-click, open SOUND SETTINGS or VOLUME MIXER, and mute/unmute by clicking on the speaker in that window. I am also seeing this same phenomenon on the network and battery icons in the system tray. I cannot click on either to take action, but if I right-click and open NETWORK AND INTERNET SETTINGS or POWER AND SLEEP SETT

    I am facing Toggle mute issue. Frequently going mute and unmuting automatcially.

    followed this steps but still same issue.
