    Having issues converting from MBR2GPT.


    I've gone through all the tutorials and I have a feeling it's my Disk 0 that is the issue. It has 4 "partitions." One is "free space" System Reserved 100MB NTFS Healthy System, Active, Primary PartitionC: 930.85 GB NTFS Healthy Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition572 MB Healthy Recovery Partition931.50 GB Free SpaceEvery time I try to validate it tells me:Attempting to validate disk 0Retrieving layout of diskValidation layout, disk sector size is 512 bytesDisk layout validation failed for disk 0What do I need to do to fix this issue without losing the files on C?

    MBR2GPT fails to convert to GPT despite resizing partitions.

    Shutdown and detach all other drives (SATA or power cable)
    As @SIW2 suggested, boot from a Win 10 installation drive, launch a CMD window (Shift+F10) and run:
    MBR2GPT /validate

    and

    MBR2GPT /convert

    The video explains that the methods used in your suggestion will destroy data and that is why the new utility MBR2GPT is the recommended solution. Since this utility is new with the latest Fall Creators Update, it may need updating. I hope someone has more
    experience with it and can shed some light on why it fails for me.
