Windows 10: having issues installing Windows 10 on one PC

Brink, will Windows 10 automatically find a Product Key, or do I have to find one on my own if I install Windows 10 from an ISO file?

After installing windows 10, and having issues, how do I remove norton

I do not know if it is Norton or not. I get past my sign in page and as the desktop is loading the screen begins to blink to black and then back to partially loaded desktop. I have access to task manager, which shows the CPU running at 99% and the host
synchronization at the top of the task list, followed by error report messenger. I can bring up the desktop (and have access to files) in safe mode.

I ended up taking the computer to a repair shop. They had seen this issue before on a number of other computers who had upgraded to 10 and had Norton. They removed Norton installed 10 and reinstalled Norton. All seems fine now.

Well, I am having issues installing Windows 10 on one PC. That PC is my sisters. Can you help me out?

It keeps failing to upgrade. Also, I can't find the files for Windows.-BT.

 

If you haven't already, you could use the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft using step 3 in the tutorial below to upgrade to Windows 10 and have it activated afterwards.

Okay. Thanks. I will try that. I did that earlier and it wouldn't activate.

 

It would have be done on an activated 7 or 8.1. However, Microsoft's activation servers have been overloaded today, and not always able to activate at the time. If it doesn't activate, then I'd say give it a day or two to see if it will.

Downloaded and installed last night, and it successfully activated.

 

That's right! The only issue that I am noticing with this PC, is that sometimes the fan likes to get loud. To me, its like its trying to overheat. So, if worse comes to worse, we may have to have it looked at.
