Windows 10: Having issues with the screen brightness on Netflix

I'm using Netflix on my HP Pavillion x360 laptop which runs Windows 10, and I didn't have this issue at first, but now when I watch anything on Netflix, the screen goes darker and develops a blue hue until a subtitle appears on the screen and then the video is the correct and vibrant color it's supposed to be. Is this an issue because I have subtitles on? I watch a lot of anime so I need them then, and there are times where I stream with someone and because we're on a call it can be hard to hear so subtitles help. The screen will not only darken, but also a thin red line will appear on the left of my screen right on the border, and a blue one on the right. They aren't solid, they remind me of the static-like pixels in the old TV's you could see when getting close. (I apologize for not knowing terms) Does anyone know a solution?

Edit: I've turned off subtitles, and the screen still darkens, except now with a lack of "interaction" with the screen, it doesn't light back up.

I suggest that you reset your Netflix application by following the steps provided below:

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.

As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue.
