Windows 10: Having issues with updating mail on Windows 10 mail app and update fails on Outlook.com

Hello,


I did try to fix my Windows 10 Mail update with the usual email that I use. However, the main email still thinks that I didn't have any mail since 2 p.m. I've tried to update it, but that doesn't work.


Also for Outlook.com, I tried to update my email on that, but it's failed and it's slow. How do I fix that?

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

im pretty sure you can. i know outlook you can and windows mail is based upon outlook.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
