Windows 10: Having issues with Windows apps and a few apps.

Outlook opens garbled. Also laptop keeps crashing with either Event ID: 1000 or Event ID: 1002. Laptop only 4 mths old. I'm not greatly computer savy but any help will be greatly received.

Yea, just uninstall the app and then reinstall should resolve the issue. Check this out.

The apps troubleshooter wouldn't fix it on any of the machines. Tried syncing the app licenses, too. No dice. Uninstalling and reinstalling the MSN Weather App appears to have fixed it.

 

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
