Windows 10: Having Problems with audio device having static even with Headset unplugged

I have a problem with my audio device having a static even if I unplugged my headset, I can monitor it via OBS Audio Mixer. I remembered a long time ago that I was having problems with Blue screen crashes and kept browsing online for a fix, until I stumbled upon something along the line of "Maybe its a problem with the audio device", so I immediately got to Device Manager and uninstalled Realtek and surprisingly the blue screen stopped. Now that I keep having static problems with my microphone device even with my Razer BlackShark V2 X that I just bought yesterday plugged and unplugged. I'm try

Windows 10 - Headset and speakers show as one sound device (have to unplug headset)?

Just finished installing Windows 10, and the only issue that I'm encountering pertains to my audio. I have a USB headset and also have USB speakers.

Before, I could leave both of them plugged in and just change the devices in the "Playback" tab from the sound window. However, this "Playback" tab only shows one device right now -- Speakers. So now, I can only hear through my USB speakers if my headset is unplugged, and vice versa. I also have "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" enabled.

Any idea how to fix this and put this back on track?

 

Audio Problems

Hi there SimonWildZX, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

May I suggest to completely uninstall all Audio drivers listed in the Device manager including the headset. Please make sure to completely remove.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound and Audio devices. Right-click the problematic device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5. Reboot the computer.

Repeat the steps in all the Audio devices listed.

Then reboot. then test the headset again.

 

Why do I have so many audio drivers - confusing.

Most graphics cards or onboard graphics will have audio drivers because they are capable of outputting audio - either from a Display Port or HDMI. You appear to have both a NVIDIA card & onboard Intel graphics active. Realtek will almost certainly be the main onboard sound. The info from Speccy would suggest that you also have a USB audio device present - maybe a headset or USB speakers.

It is entirely normal to have several audio devices listed in Device Manager (including the webcam with microphone on mine) & each will generally have it's own drivers - this does not generally cause problems.
