Windows 10: Having problems with my computer, BSOD and I can’t install an update

Recently my computer has been getting the Blue screen of death with these two stope codes Page_Fault_in_nonpaged_area and Memory_Management along with it telling me what failed with the memory management where it says ntfs.sys it used to just go through collecting info and restarting but it doesnt do that anymore and just stays on zero percent and i have to restart my computer everytime. I have also gotten Then when i tried finding the solution i found corrupted files the update that could not be installed was the 2021-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Sy

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

Sapphire 4850 bsod on new install

Yeah, it is pretty strange. None of the drivers below 9 would install. They said they "completed", but they didn't install. The newer ones just gave me a bsod. They also will install with Win Update.

I've installed Vista 3 or 4 times now, this last time was the only one that had all the updates and chipset update as you suggested. The card has never run with the drivers yet. Now, I am hoping there is something wrong. I'd hate to get a replacement and have the same problem.

I guess if I get another card I will at least know if this one is bad or not.

 

ATI Driver install problems

It could be a problem with the monitors OSD chip.
