I've had this PC for the last 3 weeks, built it myself, and this has never happened to me before. The only thing that I've done is getting a new monitor. I can not stop this action, nor prevent to begin it.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

Having Weird Problem

Well, the fresh wipe didn't help. Any suggestions on how to test hardware or ideas of where to start? It's annoying that it takes 5 to 10 minutes to start the computer everyday, and sometimes it freezes and have to start over. So need this fixed asap.

I have
pentium D 2.66 processor
d101ggc intel motherboard
512 mb ram
250 gb samsung harddisk
400 watt power supply

But the problem is my computer restarts itself after 15 to 20 minutes.

I have tried all the things possible.

I have formatted the disk several times.
Changed the harddisk.
Changed the ram
Changed the power supply.
but the problem is still there.

The cpu temperature at the bios is displayed 87 to 88 degrees.

I thought it would be problem of cpu fan & checked it out by a professional but there is no problem there also.

i also changed the location of the computer by shifting it from office to home but same problem is there.
So plz suggest a good solution for the problem.
