  1. Having recovery partitions on a different drive not C

I have a M.2 drive in my PC with Windows, so that's my C drive. I also have several internal storage drives. Now I wanted to replace one of these drives 500GB SSD with a 2TB SSD drive, but when I booted Windows it couldn't do it because of missing recovery partitions. So I reconnected the 500GB and it turns out that three recovery partitions are located on this drive and one recovery partition is located on the C drive. My first question is how this can even occur and how to avoid this in the future. The second question is how to remove the 500GB drive while making sure Windows is still abl

    :)

  2. Failure to apply update due to recovery partition issue?

    My suggestion would be to:

    1) Disable WinRE

    2) Delete partitions 4 and 5.

    3) Extend the C drive to utilize the unallocated space (minus 750 MB)

    4) Create a Recovery partition in that 750 MB unallocated space.

    Step 1:

    *******

    To disable WinRE, run:

    • reagentc /disable

Next, check if winre.wim has been moved to the c:\windows\system32\Recovery folder. To do so, run:

    • dir c:\windows\system32\Recovery /a

    Please post the outputs.

    Lost recovery partition

Hello, I see that you are having issues with recovery partition. I would suggest you using the diskpart command in the command prompt. First, open up the comand prompt as an administrator, then type in diskpart. Now, type in list disk, and look for the
recovery partition drive. Follow the steps in the link below:

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have further questions! Having recovery partitions on a different drive not C :)

Having recovery partitions on a different drive not C

    No Recovery Partition

As I said try enabling it. That tells us if you have winre.wim in C partition or not.
