Windows 10: Having second monitor mirror "desktop 2" only

Hello! I have a second monitor that I need to be an extension of my screen. The second monitor can't display the information I have on my laptop screen, and needs its own screen. The problem is I cannot see the second monitor from where my laptop is located, so editing any information on the second monitor is rather difficult. I am curious if it is possible to make the second monitor mirror only "desktop 2," so I can edit what is shown on the second monitor from my laptop screen, but then swap back to desktop 1 so I can keep my notes in front of me without having them mirrored onto the second

How can I mirror 2 desktop screens onto 2 additional desktop screens?

Trying to find a solution for creating a good "pair programming" environment. One suggested solution involved:

• 1 Desktop
  
• 4 Desktop Monitors
  
• 2 Keyboards
  
• 2 Mice
  

Where, you essentially get two identical setups:

• 2 Desktop Monitors
  
• 1 Keyboard
  
• 1 Mouse
  

Where everything is mirrored. Two people driving the same machine.

I don't believe you can accomplish this with out of the box window settings/features, but is there a way to accomplish this at all? With third party software? With some creative hacking?

 

I have a mirror image on my dual screens

i cannot get the second monitor to show a different screen. i do not have the option to change to a dual monitor in "settings". i have an old desktop and have used a vga splitter to connect 2 monitors to the computer. i am getting a picture on both but it
is the mirror image, any suggestion as to how to set up as #2?

Windows 10 will not detect second monitor and just mirrors the display

Hi

My son has a gaming pc with a new NVidia video card and running Windows 10 I believe and we have just purchased an ultra wide gaming monitor for his birthday.

He wishes to keep his AOC existing monitor and have 2 monitors up and running and to extend the display and not mirror.

We have connected both via HDMI using I think the term is a HDMI splitter purchased from Amazon.

We have updated the Nvidia drivers as suggested and ensured all the cables are connected but when we go to Settings and additional display it does not detect the second monitor and the display is mirrored with no option to extend.

Searched on the web for half a day with no real suggestions. I use 2 monitors at work without issue so cannot explain to him why it will not detect the 2nd display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
