Windows 10: Having Startup Repair problem while trying to install SP1

I'm having Startup Repair problem from today in my Dell Vostro 1550 Laptop Windows 7 Ultimate, yesterday I tried to install Service Pack 1 but it didn't finished, it was getting stuck on 50%so I cancelled it then Restarted my Laptop.When I turned on my laptop it was showing me Peparing Pc or Configuring Service Pack.But they always got stuck on 10%, When I turned on my laptop after one day.It showed me an Startup Repair, and it couldn't Repair the Laptop by itself.And, I don't see any other option except Startup Repair and Cmd Prompt but it disappears after 1-2 seconds.Do I have to reinstall m

Vista Pre-SP1 vs. Vista SP1

I've been Windows Updating for two straight days and I finally saw SP1. If you want to troubleshoot it, follow these steps:

• Show hidden updates
• Manually install any failed updates (google the KB_____ and install from the windows site)
• Make sure everything in Device Manager is good to go

I had to do step two for like 4 or 5 updates to be able to see SP1.

Any other benchmarks you guys want to see? I might try PCMark05 (I think it works on Vista).

Startup Repair Couldn't Repair My PC

Guys please help I have a laptop and I've been having the blue screen of death recently and I don't know what's causing it. When I try to use automatic repair on advance options to fix the problem it gives me an error that startup repair couldn't repair my pc and I don't know if windows system restore can help me considering that I'm already having this issue even before I made a restore point and sfc /scannow now says it does not found any integrity violations on windows resource protection. I don't want to reformat and lose all my files and programs so please do not suggest that. The only thing that I know can cause this to my laptop could be a corrupted windows update but I don't know which one because all my programs right now on my laptop are the same on my previous laptop and none of them are causing any blue screen on my older laptop so it can't be my 3rd party programs right.? If you can help me please let me know step by step what I need to do because I'm not good with tech stuff.
