  1. Having trouble connecting to the WiFi. Ran Windows Network Diagnostics. This is what it reads:

    - Windows can’t communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)

    - Security or firewall settings might be blocking the connection

I have already tried turning my firewall on and off as well as restarting several times, uninstalled my anti-virus software, and disconnected and reconnected from the network as well as calling my ISP, and they confirmed that it’s not a problem with my WiFi.

Running windows 10. Model of the computer is an Aspire E 15 E-575-33BM.

What else can I try doing at this point?

    :)

  2. Unable to print to a network printer when connected to both wireless and wired networks

    Hi Eileen,

    • As far as i'm aware nothing has changed
    • i have only tried to send test pages to the network printer so im assuming so yes
    • wireless printer works fine when connected to both networks. However the wifi doesn't connect auto when an Ethernet connection is established this has to be manually connected.
    I have tried the following:

    • updated the print driver
    • changed the network port it was plugged into
    • ran windows updates
    • configured with a static
    • changed the wifi and Ethernet priority
I will run through the trouble shoot steps as suggest and come back to you.

FYI - he has a number of extenders dotted around, a collegue mentioned it could be a subnet issue?

    thanks, Ben

    Trouble connecting to wifi

Having some issues connecting to wifi. My computer won't detect any available networks. When I try enabling the wifi from control panel, it does not work. I have tried running network diagnostics and I get the message 'there might be a problem with the driver for the wifi adapter.' But if I try repairing this issue as administrator, troubleshooting is unable to automatically fix the issues. Any help on getting my wifi up and running will be much appreciated.

Having trouble automatically connecting to wifi

I completed everything in the My Computer section in my profile.

In the below picture, should I be removing (uninstalling) all entries or just the first one since I have a Belkin network adapter?
