Windows 10: having trouble enabling secure boot .

Even while secure boot is enabled , the system still considers it to be off . i tried the enabling and disabling it method . i am using UEFI . tried the factory key restoration method . yet nothing works .

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

 

Issues Enabling Secure Boot

Hello Microsoft Answers community,

I'm having a bit of trouble enabling Secure Boot on my PC.

When I enable Secure Boot and install the default secure boot keys, my PC will no longer boot and will get stuck in an Automatic Repair loop.

Once I disable Secure Boot, Windows will boot just fine.

I am using a Gigabyte B550M S2H motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600. The fTPM is enabled and is functioning.

Could someone guide me as to how I can resolve this issue?

Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.
