Windows 10: Having trouble installing windows from a USB drive

I'm trying to do a clean install on my computer. I plugged in my new SSD and unplugged all my drives from their SATA cables. I installed the media tool to a USB, not problems there. When I plug in the USB and try to boot from it, my computer goes to the MSI motherboard screen and gets about two dots into the loading wheel before freezing and turning off my mouse and keyboard. The USB is in an active format and I tried clearing the mobo's CMOS but nothing seems to help.

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk

lol yeah ive done that ive got it to boot off the usb the problem is after that read the message im getting at the win 7 install screen
