Windows 10: Having trouble with Windows 10 Dell Latitude E6540 laptop and AIRPLANE MODE being STUCK ON

Hi - trying to help my friend fix her laptop - her 10 year old was using it and afterword told her mom the WIFI wont work. When Mom looked at it she saw AIRPLANE MODE on. She tried turning it off - she tried running network troubleshooters....no luck. In comes ME.....* OH YEAH NO PROBLEM I CAN FIX IT ....three DAYS later, here I am still unable to figure out WHY this is happening!? I tried all the same troubleshooters....I reinstalled the driver - I updated all drivers - I uninstalled the airplane mode drivers AND deleted them as my friend has NO NEED for this MODE anyway I have her l

Windows Server 2016 Essentials on Dell latitude e6540 laptop

Hi,

i have a very small/space constrained office in Manhattan and i want to setup a domain controller. i don't have space for a full server so i'd like to install Windows Server 2016 Essentials on refurbished Dell latitude e6540 laptop with 256GB SSD and 16GB
ram. Is there anything that would prevent this from working?

Problem Upgrading Dell Latitude E6540 to Windows 10

Hello everyone,

I have a Dell Latitude E6540 currently running Windows 7 Professional. I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

I downloaded the upgrade tool, however it says my display is not compatible with 10. I have done numerous chats with Dell about the issue and have been unsuccessful in finding a solution.

The current display drivers are:

AMD Radeon HD 8790M

Intel HD Graphics 4600

Mirage Driver

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Stuck in Airplane Mode

Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 on a number of systems, Both Dell and Lenovo and after the most recent update, it's been stuck in airplane mode. No matter I try to toggle the physical switch or turn it off within Windows it will go back to airplane mode.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
