Windows 10: Having troubles with activating Windows on brand new computer

I got a new computer, and set everything up correctly, however i am getting messages that i need to activate Windows. I go to the activation page in settings and get the error message "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you do think you have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004c060." I try troubleshooting and it gives me a different error message telling me that the hardware on my device has changed Error code: 0xc0ea000a. brand new windows 10 activation no working

I have recently built a new computer. I purchased a brand new usb copy of windows 10 from amazon and I am getting an error message that my activation key is invalid. Is it possible that it is because of an old windows account recognizing an old product
key from a previous computer? I am just very confused on why this brand new copy of windows is giving me trouble.

Can you remember whether the Windows version with the old hardware was Home or Pro?
