    HDD cannot be accessed or initialized following restart


    I recently bought this PC and have been having a multitude of issues. Recently the internal HDD now registers as an unknown device after I unplugged and moved my PC. I have tried re-initializing and receive the error code "Incorrect function". I am at a loss for what to do and I do not quite know how to locate the hardware in my pc to try and power cycle it manually.I do not care for any of the data stored on it as the PC is new. Please help.

    Hi Johan,

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

    Update us on how it goes.
