Windows 10: Hdd dst failed

    Hdd dst failed


    My mothers laptop recently stopped botting wo windows, instead it goes into recovery and says the windows couldnt load because of missing system files/keys.I know my mother didnt delete yhem, alk she did last night was turn off her laptop, we ran the built in hp hardware fast check, and all but tje hdd dat passed, does this mean that i will need to use one of the hdds i took out of another pc and get windows installed on that for the pc to boot properly again?

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
    causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:


    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.
