Windows 10: HDD not recognized in windows 10

Discus and support HDD not recognized in windows 10 in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Can someone help. iwant to install a 2TB HDD in my desktop.     HDD not recognized in windows 10


    Can someone help. iwant to install a 2TB HDD in my desktop. I got a USB to SATA adapter cause i figure i'm going to have to format it b4 installing windows, But after plugging it in I can't browse the darn thing. It's listed as a hidden device and doesn't even show up in disk managment. Can anyone help. Thank You

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

    Hi,

    To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

    If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
    by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
    • Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.

    Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

    HDD not recognized in windows 10

    Some USB Devices not recognized in Windows 10

    Hi have Windows 10 Pro insider preview 10532 64bit Pro Intel i7 desktop PC.

    I have multiple USB devices connected, USB 3 & 2. The USB HDD is working however my Samsung phone and kindle are no longer being recognized. The steps followed so far:

    • Uninstalled all USB devices in device manager including controllers
    • Flashed BIOS to latest version
    • Updated USB drivers for the devices from manufacturers sites
    • Tried new USB cables

    Please note: both devices are recognized by my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.

    I really don't want to fresh install, please suggest any diagnostics I can try.
