Windows 10: HDD shutting down

For some weeks now, my desktop computer running on Windows 10 loaded on SATA 1 disk with a second SSD disk for programs, has had the following problem: When it has been idle for about 30 minutes the computer screen goes black and then it tries to restart. the bios starts but after about 2 minutes I get a message the no operating system was found. If I access the bios setup page it shows that SATA 1 is not detected but SATA 2 is detected.If I then Power off the computer and then power on, it starts normally and will keep running so long as it is being used but will shut down again if left idle

HDD Corrupt ?

• How old is the HDD?
