    HDD Surprise Removal

Recently, my D drive HDD has been becoming randomly inaccessible. When it occurred again today, I checked the event viewer and found that there were many error code 51 lines error during paging operation before error code 157 surprise disk removal. When this happens, I can't access my D drive until I shut down and restart my laptop.

I've previously performed SMART checks using CrystalDiskInfo, and both drives SSD and HDD are said to be in good health. I've performed different scans on it as I've had strange issues with my D drive for a couple months and haven't been able to find a permanent fix and no errors were found.

I had my laptop looked at in a repair store recently trying to fix a similar issue with my drive, to no avail and he told me physically, my drive didn't look to be damaged.

Is it possible that the issue might be the physical connection, and that I should try opening up my laptop to disconnect and reconnect it? Or is it a software problem I need to deal with?

    :)

    Hi Johan,

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.
