  1. HDD to SSD issues

I am trying to clone my HDD it has all my personal pictures, videos, etc. I have Windows configured to save to that drive, so instead of C:\Pictures, its F:\Pictures... etc. It is a 2TB HDD and I am trying to Clone it to a 4TB SSD to replace it. I am using Macrium reflect but it is continuously giving me errors that sector is too big or not correct. I have a USB to SATA powered over USB and a USB to IDE/SATA powered over DC in, Neither of them make a difference. I tried plugging in the HDD to the USB and the SSD into the Sata data and power and it wants to wipe the HDD to use it.So I adde

  2. OS on new SSD, keep existing data on HDD and use as external drive

    Hi,

use steps you suggested, there should be no problem.

Just replace HDD with SSD first then run installation. Do not forget to remove Windows files from HDD after the end of a process.

  3. Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

    Hi

My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

    HDD and SSD issues

Hello I recently reinstalled Windows 10 via USB due to an annoying virus that wouldn't let me reset my pc or install updates. I picked my D drive (which is usually my SSD as I was thinking I’d get faster speeds so why not) to install the OS on and the
install went fine but now the issue is my 1TB SSD drive is appearing as a HDD drive and my 128 GB HDD drive is appearing as a SSD. I downloaded a third party app to make sure it the problem wasn't on Windows end and it further confirmed that my HDD drive is
now SSD and my SSD drive is now HDD. So now I have 1TB of HDD and 128GB of SSD and it should be the other way around. I never post on forums for help because I'm tech savvy enough to be able to use the internet to find solutions to my problems but this is
the first time the internet had 0 answers for me. This is on a laptop by the way.
